Method for Data Collection and Dual-Mode Communication in Power Systems Based on Edge Computing

This paper presents a method for data collection and dual-mode communication in power systems utilizing edge computing. Based on the overall model architecture of power communication edge computing, which combines cloud modules, edge server modules, and edge node modules designed in the current work, a dual-mode communication handover algorithm is proposed. This algorithm is suitable for this model and is based on jitters, delays, and priority. This algorithm can timely detect communication failures and perform channel handover in dual-mode communication, ensuring the normal operation of the system model. The performance of the algorithm in terms of communication delay, data throughput, handover performance, and system reliability are verified through experiments. The results demonstrate that the algorithm is reasonable and feasible, meeting the requirements of power systems.
