Minimal Component Space-Saving High-Gain Inverter

The Minimal Component Space-Saving High-Gain Inverter (MCSSHGI) arrangement, that features a Unipolar Trapezoidal Pulse Width Modulation (UTPWM) control, is the primary focus of this research. The main intent of this research is to eliminate the limitations of traditional multilevel inverters (MLIs), which include the utilization of larger switches, sources, diodes, and capacitors. With just one DC supply, two capacitors, eight switches, and a pair of diodes, the MCSSHGI that has been proposed manages to deliver nine different levels of output. When compared to other already existing inverters, the MCSSHGI requires precisely a minimal number of components. Additionally, the utilization of a Unipolar multi-carrier modulation strategy with Trapezoidal reference is resulting in an improvement in the quality of the waveforms that are being produced. The complete functioning of the MCSSHGI is evaluated using the findings of MATLAB simulation studies. This evaluation is based on the low total harmonic distortion and high DC bus utilization that are attained by the effective use of several types of UTPWM controls and modulation indexes.
