Application of The Co-Aperture Plane Method and Harris Hawks Optimization Algorithm in Phaseless Spherical Near-Field Measurement

A phaseless spherical near-field antenna measurement method that combines the Harris Hawks Optimization algorithm (HHO) with the co-aperture plane method is presented in this paper, which aims to address the difficulties or limitations in testing the spherical near-field phase information at extremely high frequencies. By utilizing HHO in conjunction with the co-aperture plane method to optimize the initial iterative phase, the accuracy of the Fourier iterative phase retrieval algorithm in recovering the spherical near-field phase is improved, thereby enhancing the precision of reconstructing the far-field radiation characteristics of the antenna under test(AUT). Simulation results show that the proposed method significantly improves the performance of phaseless spherical near-field to far-field transformation. This method has theoretical significance and practical value in phaseless spherical near-field measurements of millimeter-wave, submillimeter-wave, and terahertz antennas.
