An Ordinal Evidential Distance Measure Based on the Conic-Curve-Weighted OWA Operator

Evidence theory provides a flexible framework to model and reasoning with epistemic uncertainty. To consider the natural relation among ordinal variables, within the ordered frames of discernment, a distance measurement method based on conic curve weighted OWA operator is proposed. As the basis, similarity between singleton ordinal focal elements is quantified according to relation among ordinal variables. Similarity between set-valued focal elements is further extended by OWA operator weighted via parabolas and elliptic curves. Numerical experiments show that the proposed ordinal evidential distance measure can provide a reasonable quantitative distance analysis for mass functions in the ordered frame of discernment.
