Reconstructing the Truth: Innovative Techniques in Crime Scene Reconstruction

This research work aims to create a system which assists in the analysis of crime scenes through reconstruction using 3D modeling and simulations. The system will enable police and crime scene investigators to boost their understanding of a crime scene. It improves the ways of analyzing and presenting evidence in courts through the use of various simulations such as bullet trajectory or blood spatter patterns. Moreover, the system enables the users to conduct an additional investigation of the crime scene by navigating the 3D environment. Thus, the purpose of the system is to promote better collaboration among the investigators, forensic experts, and the legal teams in the more effective objective of solving crimes.
