Smart Energy Saver System Using Motion Detection and IoT for Classrooms

In many class rooms and labs, fan and light stay on even when no one is there. Most of time, people forget to off the switch, which waste light. So, we got idea to make a system that can auto off the device when nobody inside. This project is called Smart Energy Saver System. It uses motion sensor like PIR which can detect movement. When anybody enter room, PIR sensor feels it and system turn on the light or fan. And if nobody moves for few minutes, it will auto turn off. So, no need to remember switch. It is helpful in college class rooms where student forget this mostly. We make this using Arduino and NodeMCU board using simulation done in Tinkercad. Both are easy to code and cheap also. I also try IoT thing, using wifi to see the system from mobile also. So even one can check if light is on or off from laptop. This help to save power and make system look smart. This is good for small school, offices or hostel where people not take care of switches. It is not very costly, easy to make, and work nicely. Later if we want, we can add sound sensor or timer also. So this project is good for saving electric and also save money. It also supports green idea and smart India type thinking.
