Development of Geo-Blockchain Framework for Asset Management of Government Domain in India

Digital-era governance demands reliable, efficient, and secure methods of managing public assets. Traditional government asset management systems face challenges such as data manipulation, inefficiencies, and lack of interoperability, leading to fraud and misallocation of resources. To address these issues, this paper proposes a Geo-Blockchain Framework for Asset Management in the Government Domain, integrating blockchain technology with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to enhance transparency, security, and accountability. The framework leverages blockchain's decentralized and immutable ledger for secure ownership records, real-time asset tracking, and automated transactions using smart contracts. Additionally, it incorporates role-based access control to ensure data privacy while facilitating interdepartmental collaboration. Citizens can access verified asset details through Geolocker that enabling seamless storage and sharing of government records and even property ownership details. By virtue of Geotagging ensures spatial accuracy, making the system may be strengthen for highly effective for infrastructure monitoring, public property management, and natural resource allocation. Designed for scalability, this framework can be extended to various government application, like disaster management, urban planning, and resource optimization. By integrating blockchain's security with GIS's geospatial intelligence, this research aims to modernize public asset management, reduce duplication and reduce malfunctioning by devising more efficient, and create a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric governance system.
