PVCollada: A Schema for Exchange of Digital PV System Designs

We present PVCollada, a schema to enable exchange of digital PV system designs. PVCollada describes the physical and electrical configuration of a PV system by leveraging the widely adopted COLLADA schema for 3D digital assets. PVCollada is free-to-use and is maintained as open-source software. Use of this schema can greatly simplify transfer of data among software applications for system design, performance modeling and monitoring.
