NeuVitX: Automated Monitoring of Intravenous Glucose Infusion and Vital Signs

In hospitals, keeping a close eye on glucose drips is crucial, but manual methods often lead to mistakes, slow reactions, and missed opportunities to help patients, putting their safety at risk with issues like blood return, vein blockages, or un-controlled glucose levels. That’s where NeuVitX comes in—a smart, user-friendly system we’ve developed to make glucose monitoring automatic and seamless, while also keeping tabs on vital signs like heart rate and oxygen levels, connecting what used to be separate processes. NeuVitX runs on a compact Raspberry Pi Zero, using an HX711 Load Cell to measure glucose drips accurately and a MAX30102 sensor to track oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate with ease. Unlike older methods, it sends real-time updates over WiFi to a Flutter-based mobile app, giving doctors and nurses instant alerts, clear data visuals, and smart insights to act quickly. By reducing risks, lightening the load on healthcare staff, and making hospital workflows smoother, NeuVitX aims to keep patients safer and care more efficient. With the latest technologies, NeuVitX seeks to automate patient monitoring and empower healthcare providers with timely, data-driven decisions.
