Future Trends in AI for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics: A Systematic Literature Survey

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought many opportunities, including the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into cybersecurity and digital forensics. These integrations represent a transformative change in how organizations protect their digital assets and investigate their cybersecurity incidents. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, traditional cybersecurity measures often fail, necessitating the adoption of advanced AI-driven solutions. This paper presents a systematic literature survey that explored future trends in artificial intelligence applications in these critical domains, focusing on their potential to improve threat detection, automate incident response, and improve the efficiency of forensic investigations. The survey has identified some key challenges associated with the deployment of Artificial Intelligence technologies, including ethical considerations, data privacy issues, and the complexities of integration into existing systems.
