Project-Based Learning to Enhance Digital Storytelling through Video on Social Media Platform of Students in the Faculty of Education

In the digital age, project-based learning is a teaching approach that emphasizes practice-based learning. Through project presentation, plan implementation, practical work, and problem-solving exercises, students can gain knowledge until they successfully finish the work as intended. Another imaginative activity that requires students to perform research, gain information, arrange and order narrative material, and present it in an engaging manner is digital storytelling. Video-based digital storytelling, in particular, is a presentation that mixes text, images, sound, animation, and other effects because it is accessible by a variety of media. It is a really helpful learning tool that is accessible from anywhere at any time. This study compared the learning outcomes of educational university students who study through projectbased learning and assessed digital storytelling using social media videos. The sample group was composed of twenty students studying computer education. Project-based learning lesson plans, assessments of digital storytelling, and learning achievement tests were utilized as the research instruments. Standard deviation, t-test, and mean were the statistics that were employed. The findings of the study showed that the Faculty of Education students were highly proficient in digital storytelling through video and that their learning achievement was significantly higher after studying than before.
