Learning through Facts and Reasoning in Computer Science

Teaching computer science courses to students is challenging due to the inherent logic involved in the discipline and requires high levels of focus on the students’ part. Students have different learning styles; on the other hand, they join undergraduate programs typically with a prior experience of fact-based learning. This work presents a cooperative approach based on facts and reasoning for enhancing learning. The approach’s effectiveness is demonstrated through its adoption in the Computer Networks course for undergraduate students of data science and cybersecurity specializations who intuitively learn using facts and reasons, respectively.
