Quasi Coherent PIC Transceiver Technologies for Metro, Access and Front-Haul Networks

Quasi-coherent transceivers are a key technology for scaling up the capacity of the metro, access and front-haul networks. This paper shows the last progresses on the development of quasi-coherent transceivers based on silicon photonic integrated circuits (Si-PIC) with analog chromatic dispersion compensation (CDC) techniques included on an electronic integrated circuit (EIC).
