Premium and Best-Effort Connectivity Services for Cloud Immersive Applications with F5G-Advanced Networks

This paper presents a novel Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform using which network operators can offer end-to-end premium connectivity services, on-demand, to their customers, enabling them to access cloud immersive applications. This platform achieves this by taking advantage of the cutting-edge technologies introduced by F5G-Advanced Optical Networks. Our NaaS platform offers standards-based northbound interfaces by implementing Linux Foundation’s CAMARA APIs to enable managed services for customers and it uses standards-based data models and interfaces (from IETF and BBForum) for internal domain management to ensure end-to-end network slices. We also incorporate several ETSI’s Software Development Groups’ (SDGs) open-source projects to make our platform standards-based, open-source and vendor-agnostic.
