An Oscillator Framework to Encompass Different Control Strategies for Grid-Forming Converters

In this paper, is proposed a generic framework that unifies three control techniques for grid-forming converters: Droop Control, Virtual Sycnhronous Machine (VSM), and Dispatchable Virtual Oscillator Control (dVOC). While no formal stability analysis is presented, simulation results are provided using a common benchmark system to obtain results in grid-connected and islanded modes of operation.
