Integrated Podiatric Measurement System for Anthropometric Angle Analysis and Plantar Load Distribution

To address the needs of orthopedists in classifying foot pathologies affecting the forefoot, midfoot, and rearfoot, this study proposes an integrated system for simultaneously measuring anthropometric angles and plantar load distribution. Special attention is given to the method for calculating the tibiocalcaneal angle. A representative sample of 20 measurements was selected from a larger experiment involving 100 subjects. These measurements were compared with manually obtained values using KINOVEA software. The analysis, based on standard deviation and root mean square error, demonstrated high reliability of the proposed system, supporting its precision for clinical and research applications.
