Identification of an Imperfectly Conducting Scatterer in a Chiral Environment

An inverse electromagnetic scattering problem for the identification of an object with a surface impedance embedded in a chiral environment is formulated and solved via the method of fundamental solutions (MFS). The geometric characteristics of the surface of the unknown scatterer are determined using measurements of near-field data or far-field data. Numerical results for the special geometrical case of a sphere are presented.
