A Method for Accelerating the Implementation of Public-Key Cryptography on IoT Terminal Computing Platforms

In the paper, a method of fast modular multiplication by a constant number, the length of which significantly exceeds the processor bit capacity has been proposed and investigated. The modular multiplication acceleration is improved by using pre-computations that are performed before each modular exponentiation operation. It has been shown theoretically and experimentally that the proposed method allows reducing the modular multiplication time by a constant number by 2.5 times and thereby accelerating by 40% the implementation of the operation modular exponentiation which is the basic of public-key cryptography.
