Dynamic Response Evaluation of Jumper Cables for Offshore Photovoltaic Systems

The dynamic response characteristics of jumper cables in offshore photovoltaic systems under coupled wind wave current effects directly impact system safety and power generation efficiency. To address related technical challenges, this paper develops a six-degree-of-freedom Stewart platform using MATLAB to simulate and reproduce the dynamic response characteristics of jumper cables between multiple floating photovoltaic modules. By establishing a Stewart platform model and implementing inverse kinematics algorithms, combined with coordinate system definitions, hydrodynamic motion simulation, and dynamic modeling of jumper cables between floating bodies, we conduct dynamic simulation and performance analysis of jumper cables under offshore environmental loads. The results demonstrate that the six-degree-of-freedom dynamic platform effectively reproduces the dynamics of jumper cables between floating bodies, providing valuable reference for optimizing jumper cable topology and developing protective devices, and also offering technical support for the advancement of offshore photovoltaic systems.
