Electromagnetic Design of 30kw High-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for 300kW Fuel Cell Stack

Air compressor is a kind of equipment for compressing gases, which has important applications in many industrial fields such as metallurgy and chemical industry, transportation, medical treatment and so on. High-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor has the advantages of high power density, compact structure and small size, which has a broad application prospect in the new energy automobile industry, especially in the on-board hydrogen fuel cell air compressor. This paper takes a 30kW, 90,000r/min high-speed permanent magnet motor for two-stage compression air-bearing electric centrifugal air compressor as the research object, and takes “high-speed” and “high-efficiency” as the goal. Based on the air gap, the entire machine was independently designed, and electromagnetic simulation analysis was conducted. The rationality of the design was verified.
