Laser Induced Graphene Sensors for Glyphosate Detection with IoT Integration

The development of cost-effective analytical platforms for continuous monitoring of chemical and biological substances is essential for environmental management and the agroindustry. This study presents an Internet of Things (IoT)-based platform for electrochemical sensors, integrating laser-induced graphene (LIG) sensors, a portable potentiostat, and a wireless data transmission system. The platform demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity in detecting glyphosate, a widely used herbicide associated with environmental and health risks. Comparative studies with a commercial potentiostat validated the system’s performance, highlighting its competitiveness both in electronic and economic terms. The results underscore its potential for environmental contamination control and other critical monitoring applications.
