Plant Connect: An Approach to Sustainable Monitoring of Domestic Plants Using the Internet of Things

The paradigm shift in houseplant care, along with the growing demand for environmentally friendly practices, has driven the need for innovative tools that ensure quality care while contributing to the conservation of natural resources. This study presents Plant Connect, a web-based Internet of Things system that performs online monitoring of the health and maintenance of houseplants. The system achieved an accuracy of 94% in classifying plant health conditions into three categories: healthy, rotten, or rusty. Additionally, parameters such as soil moisture levels and relative humidity are monitored, ensuring ideal conditions for healthy plant growth and promoting the conservation of natural resources.
