Research on TMR-Based Magnetic Field Detection Device on the Surface of High-Voltage Cables

High-voltage cables play an important role in the power system, carrying the power supply of the city, and the inspection of high-voltage cables is usually a blackout inspection, which is not only a complicated process but also a high cost. TMR, as a kind of magnetic detection sensors, can sense the changes of the magnetic field around the cable to assess the operation of the cable. In this paper, the principle of the TMR sensor and the TMR detection system circuit are introduced, then the magnetic field around the three-phase cable is simulated, and finally the magnetic field on the surface of the cable in the field is detected using the TMR detection device and compared with the simulation.
