Research on Bidirectional Path Planning for Multi-Automated Guided Vehicles Warehouses

To address potential issues such as collisions and deadlocks that can affect the operational efficiency of multiple automated guided vehicles, the actual operating scenario in a warehouse environment is simulated as a grid map in a Python environment. An improved A * algorithm is used for path planning, and a bidirectional channel design with bidirectional traffic rules is implemented. By comparing the operational efficiency before and after the improvements, the superiority of the improved A * algorithm and bidirectional channels in reducing search nodes and preventing automated guided vehicles detours is verified.
