Computer Vision Image Processing and Intelligent Transportation from the Perspective of UAVs

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) provide unique global perspective images suitable for capturing extensive geographical areas. They enable rapid deployment and mobility, facilitating agile data collection compared to ground-based cameras. High-resolution UAV-captured images, aided by advanced sensors, enhance computer vision capabilities for tasks like agricultural monitoring, forest analysis, and urban traffic management. Integration with 5G connectivity bolsters smart transportation systems, improving efficiency and safety. This paper introduces YOLOv5-based UAV image processing for effective smart transportation applications, supporting urban planning and emergency response.
