A Resilient Grid Restoration Method for Earthquake Disaster Based on K-means Algorithm Considering Artificial and V2G Synergies

With urbanization, the power grid's reliability and resilience are under growing scrutiny. A powerful earthquake can result in significant power grid damage, causing widespread blackouts. This study suggests a power restoration method using К-means clustering algorithm that enhances earthquake-stricken power grids' resilience by integrating manual maintenance and vehicle-to-grid technology. The K-means clustering algorithm is used to partition the grid and identify critical power facilities and prioritized restoration areas. Power restoration strategies are developed by integrating the manual response time of maintenance teams with the distributed energy supply capability of V2G technology. This study compares the effectiveness of the proposed method to existing methods by simulating an earthquake disaster scenario. The method demonstrated substantial enhancements in restoring power quickly, minimizing outage duration, and boosting grid resilience.
