Research on the Application Technology of Hydraulic Jacks in the Salvage of Sunken Ships in Inner Lake

Inner Lake salvage typically refers to operations conducted in relatively smaller bodies of water such as lakes and reservoirs. The distinguishing feature is that large-scale salvage equipment cannot access these areas, and the resources available for salvage in the waters where vessels have sunk are also relatively limited. In such circumstances, hydraulic jacks become particularly important due to their powerful lifting capacity and controllability. These hydraulic jacks can be used to directly lift sunken vessels or indirectly through complex mechanical systems. This article uses the salvage of a sunken sightseeing speedboat in a deep reservoir area as an example. It details the use of a lightweight jack in conjunction with a twin-barge lift technique, providing a thorough analysis and discussion of the modifications made to the lightweight jack, the design of the connecting mechanical system, and its usage. Additionally, it conducts a structural analysis of the connection base to ensure its effective operation in inland lake environments. The techniques and methods described in this article can provide valuable references for similar salvage projects.
