Model Predictive Voltage/Frequency Coordinated Support and Optimal Control for Microgrids under Low Earth Orbit Satellite Internet

The low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite internet provides microgrids with globally accessible, seamless, low-latency, and highly reliable communication services. However, it also introduces disturbances such as communication noise, which can lead to frequent system fluctuations and pose significant challenges to the stability and security of power systems. To enhance microgrids' dynamic performance and disturbance rejection capability, this paper proposes a model predictive voltage/frequency coordinated support and optimal control strategy for microgrids operating under LEO satellite internet. The proposed method first constructs a predictive model based on conventional microgrid mathematical modeling. By predicting real-time trends in voltage and frequency variations, the system estimates the corresponding active and reactive power outputs, which are then used to dynamically adjust the power reference values. Considering the practical limitations of converter capacity, capacity constraints are incorporated into the optimization process to ensure the feasibility of the control strategy in real-world applications. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by Matlab/Simulink.
