A Smart Virtual Fitness Coaching Assistive System

The integration of machine learning with exercise training converts standard workouts into an entertaining, safe, and participatory activity. This paper offers a novel virtual fitness coaching system mixing deep learning and posture assessment algorithms for monitoring physical training sessions in real-time. The suggested system leverages YOLOv8 [13] for posture analysis and gives real-time feedback via a virtual reality interface, therefore enabling users to alter their form appropriately. Besides, a wearable smartphone application monitors health conditions to highlight possible threats such as unplanned medical problems. The strategy boosts training quality, lowers the danger of erroneous postures, and optimizes adherence to fitness targets. Experimental trials, performed on a dataset of 616 samples from four fitness programs, indicate great accuracy, recall, and precision in physical fitness assessment for both male and female participants.
