An Analysis of Sustainable EV Operations: A Case Study at Chandigarh University, India

This research compares the performance, efficiency, and feasibility of integrating three electric vehicle (EV) models at Chandigarh University (CU) based on battery capacity, charging time, weight, motor efficiency, range, and top speed from manufacturer information and observations. The comparison indicates disparities in energy consumption, range, and efficiency, demonstrating the suitability of each EV for various campus demands. An exhaustive data collection process was employed to research sustainable electric vehicles at CU for real-time research. Additionally, study explores the advantages of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for EV charging to improve sustainability and decrease grid reliance. Visual representations created in Excel demonstrate EV performance, while recommendations to improve solar-supplied EV infrastructure indicate the role of renewable energy in supporting sustainable campus transport.
