Design and Application of Mobile Energy Storage Equipment for Ships in the Three Gorges River Section

In order to resolutely implement the concept of “ecological priority and green development” as set forth by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and to focus on the strategic goal of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, the Three Gorges Navigation Authority has cooperated with relevant enterprises (units) to design a mobile energy storage equipment suitable for ships passing through the Three Gorges River. This equipment is primarily intended to provide green power for ships that are situated at a considerable distance from the shore and are unable to access shore power. Once the ship's power has been connected, the direct power function of the energy storage equipment allows the ship to utilise this power. This enables the immediate use of power once electrical appliances have been connected, replacing the generator when the ship is stationary. This reduces the fuel consumption of ships, improves the quality of power consumption for the crew, and contributes to the green transformation of Yangtze River navigation.
