Advanced Video Steganography Leveraging DNA Encoding and Hybrid Algorithms for Secure Data Protection

Today, data breaches have become alarmingly common, threatening the confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Traditional encryption methods, although effective, often stand out and can become prime targets for cybercriminals. Thus, Steganography offers a solution by hiding the very existence of data within other files, making it less detectable and vulnerable to unauthorized access. However, developing robust steganographic techniques that can withstand various attacks and maintain hidden data's integrity is a significant challenge. This research aims to tackle these challenges by proposing a new video steganographic method that combines advanced encryption algorithms with techniques designed to resist detection and various types of noises. This research employed a novel generic architecture enhancing data protection through video steganography using DNA integrated with Piece Wise Chaotic linear equation as a carrier utilizing its bio-molecular computational abilities, strategies and capacity. The proposed model integrated Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) with particle swarm optimization and Singular Value decomposition (SVD). The proposed model is capable of hiding both, text and images in video frames. Evaluations on three benchmark datasets confirm the model's robustness, yielding an average PSNR of 65 and an improvement of 21% compared to previous methods. Additionally, the proposed technique demonstrates significant resistance to various noise types and compression attacks, including H.265/HEVC video coding.
