High-Frequency Solution of G-Band Edge-Aligned Staggered Double Grating Traveling Wave Tube

The staggered double grating traveling wave tube has received extensive attention in the field of terahertz high-power coherent radiation sources due to its advantages of high power, wide bandwidth, and ease of processing. The BWISFW module in the microwave tube simulation software suite (MTSS) can be used to simulate the staggered double grating traveling wave tube. In this paper, the eigenmode solver of the three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software CST is used to obtain the gap numerical field and calculate parameters such as eigenpower, total impedance, and attenuation to support BWISFW in completing the beam-wave interaction calculation. Then, taking a G-band edge-aligned staggered double grating traveling wave tube as an example, BWISFW is verified, and the calculation results are consistent with the CST particle simulation.
