Research on Injection Volume Closed-Loop Control of High-Pressure Common Rail Fuel Injection System Based on Model Predictive Control

The closed-loop control of fuel injection volume is of great significance to improve the accuracy and anti-interference performance of high-pressure common rail diesel engines. In order to realize the closed-loop control of fuel injection volume, this paper proposes an injection volume closed-loop control method based on the Model Predictive Control (MPC). Based on the relationship between the rail pressure fluctuation and the fuel injection rate, a closed-loop observer of the fuel injection volume was designed, and the injection volume closed-loop control scheme was constructed with the observation of fuel injection volume as the feedback signal. Then, according to the relationship between the fuel injection volume and the pulse width under different working conditions, a control-oriented fuel inj ection volume model was established. On this basis, the closed-loop controller for fuel injection volume was designed based on MPC, and the control signal constraint problem was optimized. Finally, the control performance of the controller is verified by co-simulation. The results show that the closed-loop controller based on MPC designed in this paper has a strong anti-interference ability and control performance, and can quickly control the fuel injection volume back to the target value in the presence of interference.
