AI-Driven Stress Detection Systems Tailored for IT Industry Challenges

Stress detection is vital for monitoring mental health and wellness. Facial activity is one of the richest sources of data to identify stress-indicating signals. We propose a novel approach for detection of stress through facial expressions in deep learning frameworks by integrating mechanisms of attention. This model, in terms of spatial feature extraction, relies on CNNs but will combine them with attention mechanisms that dynamically draw attention to critical regions such as eyes, mouth, and forehead. Such a system ensures that these specific parts get more weights for their features during classification, helping it more accurately identify even a little or complicated stressful event. This attention-guided method not only enhances the accuracy of stress detection but also reveals facial cues that specifically contribute to the identification of stress, hence improving the interpretability of the model's decisions. Experimental results are validated, showing significant improvements in the performance of stress detection compared to traditional methods. The goal of this project is to create a cutting-edge stress detection model based on facial activity analysis. This model would harness the power of deep learning to achieve attention mechanisms to be utilized in enhancing accuracy and interpretability of stress detection when integrated with CNNs, LSTMs, and RNNs.
