Low-Crosstalk Silicon Optical Switch with Switching Time < 5.5 ns

We demonstrated silicon optical switches with crosstalk between -28 to -34.2 dB at 1310 nm, 7.8-mW power consumption, and $5.5-n s$ switching time. Crosstalk remained below -28 and -20 dB across $24-n m$ and $100-n m$ bandwidths, respectively.
