Generation of Cascaded Raman Vortex Lasers Using Diamond

Over the past decades, significant advancements have been achieved in the generation methods and output orders of vortex beams carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM), with their application scope continually expanding. Additionally, the extension of vortex beam wavelengths has emerged as a critical focus area, playing a pivotal role in advancing materials processing and multi-scenario communications [1], [2]. To address this challenge, we conducted experimental investigations on a diamond Raman laser, leveraging its broad spectral transmission range and large Raman frequency shift characteristics [3], [4]. For the first time, we achieved the direct output of a diamond Raman vortex laser.
