Monitoring of Reinforced Concrete Degradation Phenomena by GPR and Other NDTs: A Laboratory Test

Corrosion represents one of the most important causes of deterioration in reinforced concrete structures. The cooperative use of non-destructive testing plays a crucial role for improving the quality of information about the presence and distribution of corrosion/corrosion-induced effects in civil structures. This paper presents the preliminary results obtained by the integration of geophysical and other NDT, including GPR and resistivity imaging methodologies, applied to monitor corrosion phenomena in a laboratory test.
