A KPI-Based Evaluation of Emerging Technologies for 6G Using an Integrated Hesitant Fuzzy Approach

6G is a network technology that follows 5G technology and utilizes higher frequencies to provide significantly increased capacity and much lower latency. This technology is expected to drive a major development in virtual and augmented reality applications, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence-powered services. It will play an important role in integrating different technologies like never before. In particular, 6G is expected to have a major impact in areas such as smart cities, remote healthcare, and industry 4.0. In this way, data transfer speeds will increase significantly, while computing processes will become faster and more efficient. In this context, there are many different digital technologies in the digital world that support 6G technology. These existing technologies need to be evaluated to identify the technology that best meets the needs. The aim of this study is to evaluate emerging 6G technologies by considering the key performance indicators (KPIs) required for 6G using an integrated Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic (HFL) Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) approach. In this context, the HFL Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is used to determine the weights of the KPIs, and HFL Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) is applied to evaluate emerging 6G technologies. An application of this problem is provided to demonstrate the potential of the proposed approach. Finally, the application's outcomes are shown.
