Cloud-Enabled Smart Home Energy Optimization: A Data-Driven Approach

With constant interaction between user and the application and with every sensor activation, smart socket usage, or similar activity, great amount of data is generated. All that data is offering insights into user behavior and activities. However, the challenge lies in the lack of processing for this stored information. Consequently, simply storing the data becomes purposeless, draining resources without adding any value to the system. To address this issue and unlock the potential of the accumulated data, the idea of implementing a predictive algorithm was conceived This solution idea is to optimize energy consumption within households, improving not only the system's efficiency but, more importantly, the overall user experience.
