Reliability Improvement in Data Downloading from Flight Data Recorder Using Ethernet Protocol

This paper presents an effective approach and to perform Networking capability in aviation to establish data communication between a Data Recorder Unit and Ground Station Equipment. Flight Data Recorders stores flight data in its protected memory module which is acquired from various sensors fitted in the aircraft cockpit. The aircraft data is further downloaded through various media in to ground station equipment. Further acquired data has to downloaded through USB or fast Ethernet. The data network plays a very vital role in downloading data as well as fast communication using proven protocol. Ethernet protocol has very secure and fast protocol by which we can improve the reliability while hand shaking between recorder unit and ground support equipment. Implementation of Embedded application system software improved the reliability while acquiring the data from crash proof memory module of Data Recorder.
