The Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Resilience and Organizational Commitment Among Female Educators in Higher Educational Institutions in Chennai

Helping female teachers employed in higher education institutions to build resilience and organizational commitment depends much on emotional intelligence (EI). Knowledge of the ways in which emotional intelligence (EI) supports professional well-being and institutional loyalty becomes ever more important in the academic environment, which is defined by its demanding character and gender-specific challenges. This study intends to investigate the relevance of emotional intelligence (EI), resilience, and organizational commitment with eye toward female teachers in Chennai. Using a quantitative approach, we gathered data from 250 female teachers working in a variety of different institutions using a structured questionnaire. The study aimed to find how emotional intelligence affected resiliency and commitment by means of statistical analysis with Pearson correlation and regression modeling. The study produced strong positive correlation between emotional intelligence (EI) and resilience ($r =0.68, \mathrm{p}=0.001)$. Moreover, highly correlated resilience with organizational commitment ($\mathbf{r}=0.74, \mathbf{p}=0.001$). Results of a regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence explained 61% of the variance in organizational commitment and 52% of the variance in resilience. This highlights the great contribution emotional intelligence makes to maintaining professional stability.
