Enhanced LCD Character Recognition Leveraging YOLOv11 and Modern Deep Learning Approaches

The presented research introduces YOLO v11 for digital character recognition in extracting information from 16 × 2 LCD terminal screens. Real-time object detection through YOLO v11 detects precise characters on low-resolution digital displays with both high accuracy and efficiency. The implemented system improves automation capabilities in embedded system monitoring and device diagnostics alongside industrial automation activities. The methodology uses preprocessing methods along with optimized training for character groups while working on limited resource devices.
