AI-IoT Based Smart Water Management System for Smart City and Rural Development

Smart water distribution and management systems help to conserve scarce water resources. Advanced technologies, such as IoT and AI, can improve system performance and sustainability, paving the way for effective water resource management. To increase water efficiency and sustainability in smart cities and rural areas, this study proposes an AI-IoT-based Smart Water Management system. IoT sensors monitor water quality, circulation, pressure, and levels in sources, dams, and distribution networks in real time to send data to a cloud infrastructure. AI predicts water consumption, detects leaks and contaminants, and optimizes resource distribution based on real-time data and the climate. Using soil moisture monitors and AI algorithms, rural irrigation can save water. Stakeholders may report issues, receive alerts, and increase community participation via simple mobile applications and dashboards. Water efficiency, waste reduction, and water quality are improved, while rural farmers receive smart irrigation technologies to boost agricultural yield. An innovative method, but expensive for implementation, security of data, and remote network stability must be considered. This Smart Water Management System encourages urban and rural growth as well as water sustainability.
