An automated robot for shuttlecock picking and collecting

It is well known that after badminton training or playing, there are always a lot of shuttlecocks left on the court; this study aims to design and assemble a robot to help players pick up and collect the shuttlecocks scattered on the court. This robot can recognize those shuttlecocks on the court, move forward to them, and pick them up automatically. The robot mechanism includes four brushes driven by motors, an AGX computer, a camera, four wheels, an Arduino UNO, a rubber conveyor belt, a plastic bucket, etc. YOLOv8 network is used to recognize the shuttlecock on the court from the captured image. The robot can also be remotely controlled via a mobile phone, allowing for manual control of its movements if necessary.
