Reliability Analysis of Titanium Tube for Condenser in Nuclear Power Plant

The condenser of a nuclear power plant is one of the important equipment of conventional island. As a cold source, it cools the steam after the steam turbine has done work, and then sends the condensate water into the heater for the next cycle. The titanium tube is a very important part of the key components of a condenser. If the titanium pipe ruptures, seawater will directly enter the condensate system, and the sodium content in the condensate will increase, resulting in corrosion, which will easily lead to reactor shutdown. The Weibull distribution is one of the most commonly used distribution types, mainly used for data processing in various life tests, and has been widely used in reliability evaluation of power plant equipment. In response to the limited failure data of titanium tubes in domestic condensers, this paper collected and summarized historical failure data of titanium tubes at home and abroad, and analyzed the reliability of titanium tubes by using the average rank method and Weibull distribution. The failure rate and reliability function of titanium tubes were given, and the life of titanium tubes was evaluated.
