Research on Coordinated Planning of Flexible Retrofit for Heating Coal-fired Power and Electric Energy Storage Configuration

Based on the characteristic that the power system and the heating system are highly coupled, where cogeneration serves as the coupling point, a coordinated planning model for the flexibility retrofit of heating coal-fired power and the configuration of pumped storage is constructed from the perspective of provincial integrated electricity-heating energy system. This model takes into account four mainstream domestic retrofit methods, namely the heating coal-fired power high back pressure retrofit, the low pressure turbine zero output retrofit, the thermal energy storage configuration and the electric heating configuration. Meanwhile, we reduce the scale of model variables by aggregating typical days and conduct planning through integrated modeling of planning and operation. We also build a case study referring to an actual system in northern China to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model.
