Enhancing Inclusive Education using Augmented Reality

Augmented reality (AR) technology has the potential to revolutionize education by creating immersive, interactive learning experiences, yet its application in special education remains limited, especially in regions like Goa. This research aims to bridge that gap by developing a custom AR application designed specifically for special education students, addressing their unique learning needs. By creating a tool that fosters engagement, enhances understanding, and improves content retention, the study evaluates the practical implementation of AR in real-world classroom settings. The research examines current AR methods, identifies the challenges hindering their use in special education, and measures the effectiveness of the developed AR tool in enhancing student outcomes. The findings will not only demonstrate the tangible benefits of AR for special education students but also offer valuable insights for educators and policymakers on integrating this technology into classrooms.
