Selective Patterned Graphene Oxide Films via Blade Coating for Moisture Sensing

In this study, patterned graphene oxide (GO) humidity-sensing films were fabricated via blade coating. By optimizing process parameters, patterned GO films with controllable thickness were successfully prepared as humidity-sensitive layers. Through adjusting film thickness, the sensor demonstrated tunable humidity-frequency response characteristics. Comparative analysis showed that the film with around 50 nm thickness exhibited both fast response speed (0.27 s rise time, 0.4 s recovery time) and significant capacitance variation (ΔC >42400 pF) within a wide relative humidity (RH) range of 35–95%. These results reveal the critical role of film thickness in tailoring GO humidity sensors, balancing sensitivity and dynamic response for practical applications.
