A Phase Shift Oscillator

This paper analyzes the phase ambiguity problem of quadrature output type oscillator. Phase shift is being analyzed in detail for the application of oscillator. A phase shift and phase tuning oscillator is being proposed for wireless communication application. The resonator of the proposed oscillator is being optimized. The design is being employed in 40 nm CMOS process. The output frequency is 17.89-19.075 GHz. The FTR is 6.4%. The phase noise is -97.18 dBc/Hz at 18.95 GHz. The FoM is -172.84 dBc/Hz and FoMT is -168.96 dBc/Hz, FoMA is -186.81dBc/Hz, the power consumption is 9.765 mW.
